Recognition

Nationally Recognized Professional

In January 1992, I received the Association of Government Accountants Andy Barr Award. This is a national award given periodically to a private sector accountant for the achievement of the highest level of personal and professional standards throughout his career.

As mentioned above, I have been a member of the AICPA’s Peer Review Board.
I have also been a member of the Government Finance Officers Association Special Review Committee. This is the committee that reviews governmental comprehensive annual financial reports.

I contribute regularly to state and national publications; in 1988 I received the Association of Government Accountants Authors Award for an article on auditing internal administrative controls for federal programs. Another article was published in the June 1997 Journal of Accountancy and dealt with monitoring quality controls in a small firm.
